Lawmakers annoying allowances
I read that the newly elected members of the National Assembly are going to get their jumbo pay next week totalling about N9bn.
Strikingly, some workers across the federation have not received salaries for almost a year.
The so-called honourables who were inaugurated a few days ago and now with jumbo pay come calling are worse than Ali Baba and the 40 thieves.
Anyone of them who accepts that money is not God-fearing but morally bankrupt and self-serving. Nigeria is in the throat of hungry predators who will never bring change as canvassed during electioneering.
Is Nigeria a cursed nation? If not, why the unabated plundering of our commonwealth by just only a few individuals? This is simply annoying.
